Cary Grant had no issue with the ladies on or off screen I imagine. Anyway, there were a lot of good male dancers, and Astaire was a fantastic dancer. I just thought he was a douche. You support that by saying "he was extremely passionate about wearing beautiful outfits". Lame.
To me, Cary Grant wearing one suit well is the whole point. It's timeless and manly. The tools that achieve the look are just stepping stones.
I wouldn't say the anything of the 50's was equal to the far let of today.
