Your right, there's pictures in HWATIL. It's a very slim cut with fairly low rise trousers too. Cool suit though.

Inspired by recent postings of vintage H.I.S. cord jackets, I'm seriously considering a Keydge needlecord slack jacket (too impatient/lazy to search for vintage stuff). I realise that Keydge stuff seems to really polarise peoples' opinions; some think they're good value for money, others think they're overpriced tat made in China.

So, how many people on here own one of the Keydge needlecord jackets and are you happy with it?

I'd probably buy from John Simons (website) and was intrigued by the Charcoal Brown one, particularly since Keydge's own site doesn't seem to have this particular colour. Is it really a brownish colour or more of a charcoal grey? I suppose the other obvious choice would be the Olive Green.

As far as sizing goes, I'm a UK36 jacket size which appears to fall between the Keydge 46 and 48 sizes. From searching on here, I think "Moose" is a 36 and purchased a size 48.

Moose, do you have any photos of your Kedge cord jacket worn just over an OCBD?

Who bought that sized 38 vintage Del Ray pincord by Hol-Man of Cali. on Etsy recently?

The seller was kind of ditsy and took it to the dry cleaner after I noticed a mark on the upper back; reported back that cleaner misplaced it, was retrieved by another customer, supposed to be put on on reserve for me, finally bought by someone else. Not that I really needed a second corduroy, but I hope it went to someone on T.I. as it's a dead cool jacket.

I've a great Brooks with footie buttons which pleases me muchly...but I'm a Keydge man and proud of it too..
I sit generally between a 42 & 44 chest but find the Keydes in a 54 are bang on for me... a great fit and why I've become so fond...
I'd deffo go up HM... especially if you're unable to pop by there and try one on first... Bon Chance Fella!

The olive corduroy jacket was a staple at my prep school, much more popular than the blue blazer, possibly because of the school's rustic ambiance.

You just don't see corduroy jackets around anymore these days--sad!

I miss mine. Press. The squareness of it was entertaining. Tweed was fine but cord was just that little bit more subversive. Yes, dark jeans were a sound idea. Now, I might chance a navy shirt. Coming round to that. No tie, though. Never a tie. And probably bucks over loafers.

Found an LL Bean on sale in 2014, got more use out of it than expected. Wore it to a screening of MASH with Elliott Gould, Fred Williamson, Tom Skerritt and Altman's widow in attendance.
