Well, l had my second meeting with the EMI guy yesterday.

At my first meeting l wore grey pants, tailored bone sportscoat, bold striped french cuff dress shirt, marone colour pocketsquare, brown J&M handmade brogues. Eventhough he was dressed smartly in black jeans and a black top, l always felt completely comfortable in what l was wearing. l wasn't there as a muso, l was there as a salesman, so l needed to distinuish myself on initial meeting; l didn't want to appear to be a pushover. Besides, l wanted to be remembered easily by him.  Getting a second meeting was really important, so l needed to dress authoritatively but yet casual. A suit would have been overkill. l think my clothes worked for me.

The second meeting was different. l wore dark denim jeans, black boot, top notch dress shirt made of beautiful fabric, black leather jacket. We had a great meeting. My clothing allowed him to relax more this time; that was  my intention.

He said our music is very good and really well written, but he also said that we are a very old band....our members are no longer 20 (less marketable), in fact, most of the young gun bands have members young enough to be our children. Evenstill, l haven't given up on the project with EMI, we have many great things to offer to the label. lf we fail to make a negotiation, we'll go to our initial planned market: Europe & U.S.A. Got to be very careful of which label you talk to.....lots of mean sharks around.
