Re: New name for this website

Why not take from the main page and call the site The Sartorial Inquisition? Having said that, I don't think the site in its current state of evolution has enough big hitters on board to live up to the promise of that name. Shooman would need to stop being cuddly and go  back to smashing the iGents' brains in.

Re: New name for this website

As for the suggestion, "fnb.com," I fear that is already taken. When FNB was mentioned in Andyland a few years ago, some men tried to google FNB.com. They got First National Bank.

Well judging by the spam we've been bombarded with opening of business CET lately, thefrillynippleerectors.com would be more appropriate!

What about "jnfb.com"?

Re: New name for this website

It's known everywhere as FNB/ Film Noir Buff - by friends and foes alike and has a healthy, regular contribution from a small band of loyal, interesting people. Why get bigger - with a gross of dross members you could challenge some of the I-gent-blockhead bloggers for 'hits' - but popular (generally) = stoopid. Do you wanna be seen as fresh and bright and brave? You're there already buddy!

If it ain't bust, don't fix it.

Three cheers for FNB from all the Buff's Bastards!

Re: New name for this website

Unapologetic, opinionated, pedantic discourse is generally abhorrent and all too common, except in the rare instances when practiced by interesting people. And the company here is for the most part interesting.
So the name of the forum is what it is and the fact that it is disconnected from whatever the forum is now somehow fits.

For my part all I can say is thanks and carry on.
