It's a sign of the attention to detail in the truly bespoke item, there's always that one hidden flaw that the craftsman incorporates as his signature to differentiate his art from the mass produced. When you spend over €205 on a tie, you expect this kind of defect.
Yes, because `mass produced' is a dirty word to some. Made by craftsmen (handmade) is more to some gent's liking, and the unwashed masses can have the rest. *sniff sniff*
