Tried to register on the curriculum but it's not accepting new registrations. Oh well.

^Excellent find, not seen that one before.
"Narrows" - 21" at the knee, 18" at the bottom... Today this would be a full cut.
I'd be interested to know what year that was from. (50s I assume.)
The GIs look tasty. Particularly as they seem to be almost impossible to buy nowadays (at least from a US maker).
GI's? Do you mean the black Plain Toe Bluchers?
I don't think either of those makers do them in plain brown, which is what I am seeking. Much as I love cordovan, I can't afford another pair in my collection, plus I like plain brown leather.
^ AE Leeds is available in brown calf (an online exclusive at the AE site),
but they are $380 tho'.
Wow. Last time I looked they were only available in brown on the LE site, which no longer has them. Presumably because they're available on the AE site now. Very tempting, I must say.
I'm after a pair of GIs in burgundy. I've got the Loake 771s in black and they're great - you can get 'em for arond £130, and I'm tempted. I'd love a proper American pair, but can't aford to spring for the likes of Alden, so I'm looking for vintage too. Any leads gratefully accepted (size 10-10.5, UK)!
^ Harpo those Loake 771's are a solid choice, great value and they get better with age and a bit of polishing.
Although they aren't listed on the Loake website anymore (just black available currently), but the Waverley (which is a 771 with a Dainite sole) were available in burgundy and turn up on t'bay occasionally.
They are, Harpo. 25 quid is more than ok
Lovely ads Acton.
