Some have speculated on non-MSM and conspiracy websites that The Guardian has recently been taken over by CIA operatives, but we know better, they have been infiltrated and over run by iGents:

Apparently the question should be when are men too old to wear TEENAGER jeans? Answer: 17.
I am 66. I have about 10 pairs of Levi 505. I buy them stiff and never washed and fade them out over time. I wear them for work around the house and small errands. I never wear them after 5 PM. After many washings i sell them at flea markets. Levi 505 have been good for me and i have worn them for about 55 years.
Some older blokes look o.k in jeans, but most look like drongos...either `daggy-drongo' or `try hard to be hip/young drongo' like the poor sods in the link. Takes a certain type of older bloke to pull off jeans, but those blokes are rare.
I love how the poor chap is not only 51 and still wearing jeans, but also going bald. The columnist sounds right doolally.
Still, it warms the heart that The Guardian remains committed to answering the great sartorial questions of our era.
I am wearing jeans today - in town - dark unwashed indigo - slim fit medium rise - with burgundy round toed chukkas - and rust red awning strip OCBD - opened necked and khaki field jacket. I must say I look great! I take great pains to not look like mutton dressed as lamb or to look too "old man". Its a hard line to walk.
I see millions (would you believe hundreds? - well I did see one) blokes on the train over 40 - 50 wearing low rise jeans with pot bellies hanging over - shortening their legs - lengthening their torso and making them look like dicks.
The real question with WM is he in fact OLD ENOUGH to wear what he wears? Discuss.
Better jeans than those multi-zipped mountaineering trousers I see most retirees wearing.
Haha. I think my style is perfectly fitting for a man of 34. I try to select tweeds that aren't too fuddy duddy. I like a slender fit which is youthful, yet not 20-year-old hipster tight. I try to be mindful. The cardigans are squarely geriatric however. Hmmmm. Good question.
Your mid-30s are a golden age, I enjoyed them immensely, that feeling of omnipotent immortality combined with career taking off and the first taste of finding yourself in another part of the world, with a beautiful wife....

And you may ask yourself, how did that moth hole get there?
I struggle with jeans I never really liked them even since I was a kid. Ive got one pair of jeans, and over 10 pairs of 5 pockets. Five pockets to me does everything a jean does and more. I suppose though if I was doing anything demanding of the fabric id need denim but short of mining for gold im not sure what else would require denim.
I foresee a personal windfall though, where I head straight to the local places that have entire walls stocked with 13MWZs, buy them all, then sell them for the unheard of price of $40 a pair.
Thing about jeans is that despite the fact in most cases sta-prest/chinos/flannels etc can look alot better for cheaper there just something about crips Levi's or Lee jeans that make me wear em every so often even though trousers that I have fit/look much better.
