Nah, it's just the retailer making huge profits. The buyer told me today that if l ordered in the Royal Range, he would charge 6 - 7 times the extra 100 Pound asking price; therefore an extra $700.00...making the Royal Range coming in at almost 2K (excluding special order fees).
Church have a `Heritage Range'. These are $140 more expensive than the `custom grade'. All the `Heritage Range' is...is just a collection of all the old classics. Why would they charge an extra 140 for a range they have been doing for ages, where-as they charge less for the newer designs (equal quality).
My only real future shoo options are Santoni, Church and EG. C&J Handgrade are unwearable. l sooo miss the Grenson Masterpieces.

I bought a pair of Church's top of the line custom grade shoes a few years ago and I was very disappointed in them. They had a sort of gauze inside of them that took on the odor of my foot. It was disgusting.
