Fritzl sent me a link of his `shoo collection' the other day. Incredible!!! Shoos you never see these days....really old tradional manly styles. BUT it was the story and passion he shared with me that made me warm and fuzzy inside. Fritzl is a very passionate shooman...he understands stuff because he knows stuff. He is not a showoff shooman, he is a REAL shooman. It's the story behind the shoos, the passion behind the shoos, and the lifestyle of a troo shooman that few aspiring shoomen will ever understand.

Fritzl educated the public on the old styles long forgotten by most people. I am so proud of what he has done.

Now, lets look at Fritzl's incredible shoos. Check the goiser wholecut, the alt wiens and the captoes = INCREDIBLE!!! But LOOK at the slouchy worn in style of the shoos, real old mates.

Vass do great shoes, but the F last, U and K lasts look off. They try to be ltalian or English, but they just aren't. If you want a goiser on the U last, go see Santoni and get bentivenga instead. If you want an F last, go get an English shoe instead. But...people don't want to pay 4K for the Santoni or 5K + for a handmade F last style shoe, so they make compromises.

Vass do the traditional lasts the best. Perfection!!! F, U, K last = awkward.

I'll also say that the Santoni limited edition bentivegna constructed shoes are better that Vass. Why? The leather is better on Santoni limited edition...some of the finest leather possible. BUT, Vass has a  protection method to maintain the integrity of the construction via a hand stitched sole. People may say that a hand stitched sole is not neccessary...that is true...but that is the way things should be done...to maintain the integrity of the welt so it doesn't need replacing and a new inseam done.  The hand stitched sole is the finishing touch of a sound and flawless construction.

So there we are, and here are Fritzl's shoos. They tell a special storey about the shoos and the man, and it makes me warm and very very fuzzy inside.
