Having to Shaving One's Earlobes

My ears now sprout whiskers that need to be shaved every couple of days, a sure sign of midde age.

Yep.  It's a bitch.  The ones that grow out of my ears are like wires.  When I run the little clipper thing over my ear, I can hear the motor bog down when it hits one.  I guess my barber doesn't take care of them because he doesn't want to blunt the blades on his clippers.

You're spot on there and if you leave them, you wake up in the middle of the night with an itch in your ear and when you grab a hold of the brillo-pad texture hair, it rolls out with the potential of growing to be an inch long!

As suspected, you're just a bunch of girls. I have had these since puberty.

Haha. Anyone have moles that sprout coarse hair?

I am starting to suffer from the hairy earlobe syndrome, infact Mrs AC bought me a mini earlobe shaver for Xmas
to combat this unsightly affliction. It is a bit concerning as i had a great Uncle in Ireland who had the furriest ears i have ever seen.
He was actually like a werewolf.

Re: Having to Shaving One's Earlobes

I highly recommend waxing for ear and nasal hair removal, a bit painful but lasts a lot longer than other hair removal method. If you have a local college that does 'Beauty and Hair' courses you can get it done very cheap (or even free).

The ones to avoid :
Threading, a true torture possibly worthy of Git-mo.
Laser removal, expensive and doesn't work too well in the long run and can cause very visible thread veins.
Sugaring, like waxing but even more painful and you smell like 'burnt cotton candy' afterwards.

My niece is a qualified beautician and has tried many of these techniques on me (and my family) during her studies. She also delights in the pain she can inflict on stroppy clients big_smile

Just make sure whatever you do to groom your excess body hair, it's not really obvious after the fact.  For instance, if Mrs. Worried Man sees a man with obviously waxed eyebrows, she'll wait until we're out of earshot, and then she'll just let him have it.
