I have an older pair of black 505 cords; not sure if they're the same. The rise is very high, higher than the Wrangler 13MWZ. Quite a slim leg/ankle too, they can be worn with loafers.
I have a mate (seen in a previous picture from Field Day) who has everything tapered, selvedge 501's etc everything - not super skinny but for me the Ivy cut is slim (I have a pair of 505's which are about ready for a first wash) but I also like the cut of the white levis they did last year which have less of a taper.
Those are the white levis (518) - above mentioned pal got his slimmed down, beggars belief if you ask me, they are a classic slim cut.
Strides, and how you wear them I think are a personal choice...I see the appeal of all but think we all develop our own tastes and what we feel looks best on us...physique and all that… and as the years progress *coughs* and we EXPAND!!!!
My years of standing up with mine still stuck to my calves was never a good look.... always been a problem area….
Still don’t mind narrower trews with pennies, but am not a massive pennies man tbh.. they look great with trainers too but again…ditto…
When I made that leap to workwear/looser jeans in the 90s, it was such a relief…and whilst a higher rise wasn’t such an issue then…I really appreciate them with it now…
Pants hugging and clinging to the ankles is pure hipster territory. If you want a slim taper, you've got to get it so you've still got a little drape down there.
Bop - I say: Below 8" cuff is dangerous territory.
You make a man proud FXH.
LVC 1967 505s all the way for me. Doesn't get any better.
Recently picked up a bleached white pair on the Bay.
Not arrived as yet, but kinda excited about them.
I just got them (LVS 1967 505) , I've forgotten how stiff unwashed jeans are. Can't even walk in them. Will post pictures soon so you can see how they fit, I'm not sure about some things though.
Not sure about some things? Aside from the severe crotch and inner thigh chafing, what are your concerns?
A small price to pay for looking groovy, it's when you get chaffed on the cheeks of your arse you need to wave the red flag.....
Just wear tights underneath......wait...ive said too much

No way is that too baggy Sancho! The 7 inch bottom is a classic boom years taper for sta prest and white levis. If anything, they look a bit too skinny for blue jeans, but as a young chap you can pull it off. Just have them hemmed to proper length.
Well it depends on what you're after? I like 'em bigger and baggier with turn ups these days, but I think a no-brake or a touch shorter would work for those.
Agree, need to hang so just above the shoe to show the lean slim cut. I too have a mix of shapes and cuts taking me from 54 - 67 in styling.
