I'm hoping for a slipper tree myself.
I would prefer one that bears multiple pairs of spectators and chukka boots instead of one pair of silver slippers each year though.

For me, the most modern and stylish thing to do is to:
1.Learn as much as you can about yourself:Color, skin texture, weight and who you really are on the inside.
2.Take that self-awareness, look at EVERY time period, borrowing from each as you see fit-even if it's something as simple as a certain color shade. Heck, my granddad had his jacket linings made to look like Indian saris!
Style is a banquet, and most poor SOB's are starving to death!!!
In short, declare your individuality, and dare to be yourself-whatever that is.
Now, that's modern!!!
