American luxury cars are definitively large, which makes them very impractical for most of the world.  China seems to love Buicks or something, and there are things with Cadillac badges made just for their market now.  China, of course, has yet to build a world-class car so them looking to America as exotic luxury is not so odd in that area.

I will say the new Buick's are actually pretty decent cars. Pretty much the only thing right now coming out of America that can compete with Ford.

Plus they have Shaq in their commercials.

In high school my buddy had a 72' Riviera with a 455 in it. It might literally have been the most dangerous thing you could give a teenage driver.
