Worst music you've ever heard? So you haven't ever listened to U2?
Sadly, yes....

Somewhere, there must be some clips of when he says hello to Tokyo and takes his top off at Red Rocks, truly appalling. But we all fell for it, at the time.
Rock 'n'roll is an act, but seems to be at its most beguiling and powerful, when you think it is for real.
U2 is the musical equivalent of eating a saltine cracker.
Hewson would have been more appropriate.
I'll ignore the sly innuendo however...
no failure, just musing on your choice of words ...... you can be as disingenuous as you'd like but your words are your words ... anyway put on your Captain Fantastic and post some more Tom Wolfe for us, that's what you do best!
Oh dear....
The thing about U2 is they had several very good songs. The downside is they had a shedload of terrible ones and some of the biggest egos on the planet.
And the Edge is probably the most overrated guitarist ever.
Hurricane is fantastic.
The very notion that Dylan spoke for a generation is self-serving nonsense...
Dylan spoke for himself....every 'artist' does.
But let us presume that he did speak for a generation, and then let us ponder, what has become of that generation...
Hardly a recommendation is it...?
You have to laugh...

formby - you used to be occasionally insightful and even once or twice amusing but suggesting Bob writes or wrote protest songs is showing you up to be a tabloid reader. Or worse a lazy skimmer of tabloid headlines. C'mon - you could - once upon a time - do better than that. Jeez bob's still going well at 73.
