Crisp white sportcoat, jeans, white sneakers, gold necklace.  Oh, and a shirt.  Maybe a t-shirt with something written on it???

Hmmm, I'll need a gold necklace.

Maybe Chévere will let me borrow the one in his avatar.  That guy looks pretty smooth.

The obvious list would be...

"Bad Sneakers",
"Peg" top trousers,
"The Fez",
"Green Earrings",
and finally
"Your Gold Teeth"

for accessories, the best bet is ...
"With A Gun"

They were good, because they knew when to steal a lick or too from Horace Silver.

Ian Drury and the Blockheads were also good at nicking stuff from jazz musicians.

Re: Steely Dan August 16th!

Awesome show.

Musically perfect, sound was great, seats were great, opening act was great, a three piece jazz outfit featuring an old Hammond Organ playing through what looked like a vintage Leslie speaker.

The only real downer was Fagen's voice.  Really crapped out by the end of the show, but hey, the man's pushing 70 so that's not unexpected.

Opened with "Black Cow", my own personal favorite Steely Dan song.

Also played "My Old School" "Green Earrings" "Show Biz Kids" "Bodhisattva" "Hey Nineteen" and a bunch more.  Not a clinker in the whole bunch.  The Danettes sang "Dirty Work" about halfway through the show; that probably should have been a sign that Fagen's voice was going away.  Encore was "Kid Charlemagne".

8.5/10

I wore black jeans, gunboats (for Shooey), light blue shirt and a black velvet shawl collar dinner jacket.

10/10

Fantastic. Sounds pretty close to set list I saw them with last time.

Fagen was pretty good when I saw 'em, but I'm sure at his age he has good and bad days.
