What to wear?

To Mrs. Peters' leaving party?

I want her to remember me.

Re: What to wear?

Additional:

I intend taking along a couple of bottles of Burgundy, but Mrs Sparrow also wants to bring them something to eat.

I don't think I want to stand around watching her offering her quiche to strangers.

Am I out of date?

Thanx.

Re: What to wear?

I would take a different approach.  I'd go the full-Trad on this one.  Every item of GTH-parody available.  Make her remember you.  Unless you're leaving something out and there's no question that she'll be remembering you.

I will take my glasses with me too just so I can see if she gives me a special look. I'd hate to miss it.

Re: What to wear?

A curious evening:

They'd put price tags on their furniture & invited us to walk around the house buying things.
Mrs Lad bought a vase just to be polite & I teamed up with a guy called Drew to look in all their draws and cupboards...
We never did find where Mr. Peters hid his porn.
