With the autumn around the corner I am in search of a pair of corduroy trousers. Any suggestions?
Harvie and Hudson had some decent ones last fall, but I don't know what they have for this season yet.
I take it you are in the UK?
Cordings:
Cords, moleskins, chinos in a range of (sometimes bonkers) colours...

^ How are the Cording trousers cut? I am partial to a little more tailored fit.
I'm tempted to try O'C's myself, depsite the dreaded probable customs charges. Any UK ones I've seen just don't seem to have sufficient rise. LE and Bean are ok but the corduroy is quite cheap looking, meaning after one day's wear they are completely bagged out at the knees, and even repressing doesn't work until they've been washed again. Also rise is passable but in reality insufficient on either. I have tried Alexander's bespoke (or whatever the correct term would be), but they are unreliable.
As JS used to stock them I know they're ivy approved, which is always my primary concern.
Thanks for the tips I'll have a look
What is it with you and cords and your butt?
LL Bean? I haven't tried theirs, but I kind of want to. My last pair of Lands' End cords wore out in under two years (got a bald spot on them on the back of the knee/calf area.
Looks like Lurch wears a clip-on.
Those do look good Oliver. Any background on the horizontal cord? I just don't recall seeing much horizontal cord in my time. Is that unique to O'Connell's?
I also really dig the cuffed effect with the horizontal cord. They're pretty heavy duty and break nicely over big square shoes. I've pretty much replaced my chinos with them throughout the fall. I actually prefer them to my regular 8-wale vertical cords.
