great read .... Bill Curbishley did well for himself!  Poor Kit though ... I'm sure you've read the chapter on him in Andrew Motion's book The Lamberts, it's essential reading for Who fans.

Very diverting, Formbs but, being that very rare phenomenon, a gentleman with an amazing brain, I spotted that  you have typed "Gallantry and selfishness" when you must have meant "Gallantry and selflessness". Can you not scan the excerpts?
