Helmet was totally brutal!  I always liked their caterwauling avant noise guitar solos.  I'll take that any day over those Rage Against the Machine hacks.

Krupa was a brilliant showman, and Keith Moon picked up on that early on, essentially mimicking many of Krupa's moves and expressions.  And no doubt, Krupa was a great drummer too. 

Speaking of Lionel Hampton, he was also great on the traps and I've seen some very impressive drum solos from him.
