Just like all the other threads on all the other forums, but with a twist...
I'll kick it off -
Working from home today & it's almost sunny, so -
Old Bean shorts - Washed-out Khaki, & getting a bit big on me this year. I should eat more.
White T - Hannes (Ordinary, not 'Beefy T').
Old Press (When? '98?) Madras BD. Very muted by now. Nice.
Why? ... I'm working hard to get into a Summery mood. I need a Serotonin (sp?)hit. Who doesn't?
Miles.
My brother!
I am barefoot & unashamed.
Edit: But why, Vaclav?

Brooks blue OCBD. The Levis 501s. Alden brown bluchers. A piece of rope to hold up trousers with sterling clip. Blue blazer, as Manton says.
Pajama bottoms, seersucker robe, also barefoot, but I do have coffee.
A still-born thread I know, but the idea could have been interesting - The reasons why we are wearing what we are wearing. Most 'WHAT are you wearing?' threads are just a showcase for show-offs - people rarely post that they have just fed the cat and are sitting at the computer in their boxers waiting for the water to be hot enough for a bath... And a good job too.
I don't buy that anybody who cares enough about clothes to read internet clothing forums just picks up whatever doesn't smell too bad off the floor & puts it on for the day. There must be a wealth of information out there on peoples choices and agendas and how these are reflected in their wardrobe choices.
It's the kind of stuff that interests me.
Right now I'm killing time waiting for a phone call to go and have drinks with my Aunt: Charcoal Press sack, White Press OCBD, Navy silk knit tie, Black Sebago classics. Why? To show a little respect &, as family business is going to crop up, to show her that I'm serious. Also, by a happy coincidence, I like the look and think it suits this occasion (even though it's a little overly smart for my new relaxed persona...).
TOP !!!!!
darker side of medium grey suit in 120s wool with 15% silk has a nail head look to it. A blue end on end shirt with a lighter end on end collar and french cuffs in the same fabric. White gold knot cufflinks
Medium grey wool socks, chocolate brown suede cap toes, chocolate brown suede belt with sterling engine turned buckle, orange silk pocket square with roal blue squares with black centers, and a Carlo Franco tie in blue and orange stripes.
It might be fun to resurrect this old, old thread.
Today I'm wearing my tobacco poplin suit, nondescript French Blue shirt, baby blue (like the lining of my jacket) socks and black Chelsea boots. No tie.
Why?
Because I have an appointment at a certain government agency this evening where the employees are very sloppily dressed (the last time I was there I was dealt with by a bloke in a dirty t-shirt). So I'll show them up even more by making a little effort.
Besides, I wear a suit to work so rarely that it just feels good.
And you ?
(Don't forget to say WHY you're wearing what you're wearing.)
Moose
p.s. the government agency in question is this country's employment agency…
Old frayed Bills button fly and an old faded madras shirt.
Khaki poplin sack suit. Orange, yellow, blue large check on white ground shirt from Lewin. Very Jermyn street with spread collar and French cuffs. Very bright, large scale paisley tie in similar colors with some dusty red thrown in. Loafers and no socks.
Why? There's nothing big going on at the office today and the weather's hot. Felt like a good time for a last hurrah on the bright summer clothes.
Press blue oxford shirt, burnt orange wool knit tie, BB dark blue jeans, brown ankle boots from J Crew (they're nice!), and a Polo "Congressman Classic" brown and tan herringbone jacket.
Why? I'm trying to will Autumn into existence, and this is my uniform until May.
PS The jacket is silk/linen and unlined--I'm not insane.
Acorn Fabric, jumbo check blue shirt on white background, bright red solid tie, black gear shift cufflinks, solid charcoal Fresco suit in a light weight, grey socks, black cap toes, my Trafalgar bull fighter braces, Turnbull and Asser medium navy pocket square with small yellow paisleys set like a foulard pattern.
Because I just didnt feel like worying about what to wear.
Cherokee Khakis.
Red Bean polo.
Camp Mocs.
I went to my daughter's school today and I find that if I wear red it makes the teachers back off.
paint splattered Levi Jeans, paint splattered button down collared shirt(M & S), co-ordinating with paint splattered training shoes (old asics runners)
and the piece d` resistance- egg shell white with a hint of apple blossom highlights in my hair.
Damm I`m so paint splattered I can be modelling a range of RL polo pre distressed clothing.
I`ve been painting the bedroom ceiling ( let me tell you that bedroom has seen some fast(brush) stroking action today)
Hi Archie--
I think they're new this season--called the "McCallister," I believe. They're a nice medium brown color (called "acorn" or "tobacco" or something like that), pebbled grain, crepe sole.
They are buttery soft and comfortable, and I think very sharp. I am not one of the Shoo Cognoscenti, so these may well be justifiably sneered at, but I like them very much.
