Re: The Blight in Blighty

There are people that support multiculturalism who believe that other cultures are "just like us", but wear different clothes and eat different foods. They really believe that an immigrant will land on the shore and harbor universal thoughts and have universal aspirations. They just do so while wearing funny hats.

It's a flaw in education---an ignorance of history, sociology, psychology, economics, and common sense.

For all the vitriol produced in western societies, fundamental ideas underpin the larger culture. Have you ever met any (non-psychopath) that really would favor, or even condone the killing of people for expressing their political or religious beliefs? Would anyone favor allowing family members to kill their female relatives for "honor"? I haven't. But there are cultures being imported to our shores that are okay with these things.

This puts us in a tough position. On the one hand we believe in free expression and the right of others to believe whatever they want to believe. On the other we recognize the danger of those who do not hold these very same beliefs. We can accept their right to believe and advocate for the inversion of these rights, or we can violate our own beliefs by making an exception, with the potential consequence that other beliefs get added to the list and soon we are on the road to repression as well.

Freedom of Expression is a real double-edged sword, and almost without fail operates as a double standard.  "They can express themselves all they want unless it offends ME."

Re: The Blight in Blighty

There are warnings of hundreds of jihadis returning to the UK from Syria in the next few months, up to 200  of whom are London based. Egg on face for the Tory government who have repealed anti terror laws and been busy cutting down the police and armed forces.

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/met-chief-sir-bernard-hoganhowe-warns-of-londons-200-militarised-jihadi-fighters-9693477.html?origin=internalSearch

Now desperately scratching their heads and wondering how they can package an increase in the terrorism alert state to the public.

Re: The Blight in Blighty

Media scare mongering aside, we are being specifically targeted at M&S on Fridays:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/al-qaeda/11062765/Al-Qaeda-manual-encourages-attacks-on-Marks-and-Spencer-stores-in-UK.html

Quite worrying for me, as there is a new M&S back in the Hague, I shop there and the black flag of IS is being flown in parts of the Hague with many of these flags being waved at demonstrations for Hamas and the ongoing photographic campaign with black flags outside of Dutch institutions and land marks continues. And the currently 9 residents of the Hague have been arrested as recruiters for IS, two of them earlier this week.

It is a problem and it is coming our way.

To get a grasp of what's happening now, I'd also recommend Anthony Burgess's 1985.

We here in Oz have a Royal Commission into institutional sexual abuse.  Its a stark reminder that the institutional abuse that dwarfs the Rotherham, and most other, abuse is the Catholic church, Salvation Army and state run institutions.

Not to mention the overwhelming abuse, sexual and physical, and murder, of children, occurs in families.

Re: The Blight in Blighty

The blight has been around for a long time. Here's the story of a Bradford head teacher who dared to question multiculturalism 30years ago, in 1984 appropriately. He was hounded out of his job and never worked as a teacher again.

Re: The Blight in Blighty

The disillusionment will soon evaporate when they're back home living next to the immoral kaffir and they're regarded as heroes in their local community.

It's a fight to the death, and we haven't quite grasped the seriousness of it yet.

Yes, they can come home and are, those without dual nationality are.

This about sums up the blight in Blighty, too many Gurkhas for this Tory's liking:
