To be fair to wurger - he's a good bloke - and- he is a junior potential shooman. He knows his shoes.
He knew when he went in that the Perkel Bros were around 90 years old and he just wanted to support one of the few people in Oz who could make shoes. He knows they are no carefully crafted beauty shoes to impress iGentts and that they look a bit rough. I think a pair of boots for jeans or some real gunboats would have been the go.
