Oh and for summer season I will refrain from drinking claret. Steely Chablis for me until October.
AND: the non-slim fit shirts from H&K are a nice alternative to the current igent bearded Hintertür Eindringling look. And very comfortable, too. Although they make me look a bit like Seinfeld, 1995, Pirate Shirt.
Question:
what to do with my bengal striped shirts?
I often entertain notions of limiting my dress and style to an extreme conservative style and silhouette, and actually, Woody Allen has achieved this, operating in those limited brown, blue, grey and green hues. But I like the bold and vibrant too much, to sock-it-to 'em with a peacock tie, or shirt every now again, but in saying that, I am very much for conservative jackets and suits.

Question: white gold or platinum
update:
My current wardrobe is "perfect" - everything, from suits to ties to shohohos, is up-to-date and fits well. There are no sins from the past which just take up space; no boxing day sales specials which I would not have bought if at full price. No junk, no "Maybe I will wear it for this or that special occasion that will never happen" stuff.
Actually, it is not boring but relaxing - I could dress myself blindfolded and would still look great.
There are only a few minor issues to be resolved:
- Upgrade C&J Connaught to the sleeker Audley from their handgrade collection ( I have already 2 pairs)
- Decide whether to keep 10 year old SAB briefcase with lots of patina or buy a shiny new one?
- Buy the ultimate exit watch (RG vacheron)
I have now bought my last batch of old-school H&K shirts from their warehouse sale website - narrow bengal and end-on-ends in blue.
H&K are currently on sale
