^ That view was tranquil calm and sunny when Mrs Woof and I were there 6 weeks ago. We really enjoyed DC, so much to see and do and a nice relaxed vibe to the city. Spotted some ivy clothing in the staff restaurant in the Capitol building as we enjoyed some Senate Bean Soup (thanks for the recommendations Stanshall).

I hate to admit it but Sammy is right about Venice in October.
I was eaten alive by mosies, i didn't sexually abuse any chamber maids though..
Split, Dubrovnik and the Amalfi coast were spectacular.
