Re: Fragrance as an accessory

I wear a different fragrance every day.  always in moderation.  You have to know the characteristics of the product to apply correctly.  I stopped counting how many fragrances i own when I passed the 700 bottle mark.   What can I say? it's a hobby...

my latest purchases arrived today:

the eponymous Anat Fritz
Heeley: Menthe Fraiche
The Different Company: Sel de Vetiver

You can't fail with the old classic Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet.

Some of Creed's creations aren't bad. Especially Cuir de Russir, Errol Flynn's fav.

RL Green aftershave lasts all day, covers a multitude of sweat.

Equipage, by Hermes, is the one fragrance that has elicited compliments from complete strangers.

Terre is a favorite, too...

Indeed, Creed Bois de Portugal, new bottle procured to replace the dregs of a bottle purloined, not without complicity on my part.

And I wear Guerlain by proxy in bed as well as out and about. A smart girl marks her territory and stakes her claim.

Which provides at least one answer to the question of why people wear fragrance.

As for the wearing of shoes in bed, I am not averse to accessorizing with high heels as epaulets.

The Power of Scent…

    * makes content extremely immersible  and compelling
    * creates mood, such as foreshadowing or ambiance
    * intensifies emotions, such as fear or love
    * establishes place and season
    * helps develop characters
    * gives a heightened sense of reality

Well i guess there is no specific scent for a specific personality, it actually depends on your taste.
As for choosing what particular scent, it may take some time. Think about what sort of scents appeal to you. If you like fruity citrus scents, look out for fragrances with fruity notes.

Hmmm, I still don’t really know! Do you have any more ideas?

Close your eyes and think about what makes you happy! Yes, it’s cheesy but it works. What do you see? Meadows with flowers, the lush ocean, freshly cut grass – choose scents that fit with your happy mood.

I generally think of opium dens in old China town, absinthe and tobacco filled bordellos in Storyville circa 1890, oh yes, and some rag time piano being played. Any scent suggestions, Princess?

I actually found 'Denim' in a local cheapo emporium a year or two ago. It was like the land time forgot.

The place has since fallen victim to an arson attack, and I assume the Denim stash is now wafting its way through the stratosphere.

Re: Fragrance as an accessory

The Denim under arm perspirant was pretty okay, I use to wear that about the time I took up Brylcream wet gel that made me go prematurely bald.

I've been using Creed's Vevitiver and Penhaligans Hamman aftershave for work recently, still didn't save me from the threat of being replaced by some ineffectual staffer. Dutch labour laws, who would have 'em?
