Remember the centerfolds of Playboy magazine?
The Playmate of month in the record card wrote a list of What she likes and don't like.
Well,why not do it here?
I begin:
Carpu65
What he likes:
suits with a clean silhouette
ties with small patterns
blue/gray shades
tiny watches
short hairs
martini cocktail,margarita,manhattan.
What he don't like:
huge patterns
pattern on pattern on pattern
huge lapels and large ties
Rubinacci's school floppy clothes
tattoes
bracelets
sprezzatura/pitti uomo/pseudo-dandies clowns
I can pretty much echo your list Carpu. I don't like really pointy shoes and of course it's no secret that I despise men wearing little girly rise trousers.
Move the tattoos to the like column and we'd be pretty close.
It's that horn-rimmed jazz aesthetic for me:
Casual neatness with Anglo-American flare.
Refined button-downs, if that's not a contradiction in terms.
Knitted and repp ties.
New Zealand tweeds.
English shoes and boots in the winter, American in the summer.
1959, a classic year for watches.
A whiff of the 1920s.
The promise of Ralph Lauren in the 1980s.
Rumbullion, calvados and classic French driven wines.
Hates:
Skin-tight and pants for men that sit on the hip.
Gangsta' rap fashion.
Jackets and trousers in the Pee-Wee Herman style.
Led Zeppelin and heavy metal.
The fashionista pitti-uomo clone look, complete with no socks.
