Spot the Oxymoron.
Seriously - People hate Trad because of what it has become... And it really can't go on this way.
There is undoubted energy in Trad - Bills, Mercer's, Russell's - We just need to divorce it all from this dusty old mindset that is ruining the look.

Give me time... I need to work out a plan here...
But Trad must get back to it's roots to survive.
It HAS to regain its strength, youth and power - All the things it was originally about, and shake off all this class-ridden baggage.
Not even I will try to say Let's put the Rad back into Trad but... you know...

Trad's Ok - I just like khakis and polo shirts that's all. I don't like the association between trad and social class/old money/jazz/or fraternities. All of those suck, but khakis and polo shirts or a nice crew neck sweater - great.
Why do you like jazz/trad anyway? Is it nostalgic - or does it make you feel like a rebel?

They should put their tweeds in the Hudson for a protest.

I'm in London & Gloucestershire over in England.
In the US I know New York & New England quite well. As soon as my daughter is old enough I want to carry on exploring & maybe head south next.
