Even in England - No, I wouldn't (assuming I was in the dock).
... Then again I can't imagine myself in court in any other position... Jury service must be fun tho'. ... Ramble....
I’m a lawyer and wear pink/lilac/purple shirts, even to court. True, I’ve been around a long time, but I also wore these colors when I was junior. Treating one of FNB’s favorite epithets as a compliment, however, I dress like I’m in retail from whence I came. To my eye, pinks work best with grey and brown suits, while lilacs and purples are right with navy. I’ll cross the lilac/purples over to the grey and brown, but pinks with navy have a glare that I just don’t like.
do it all the time. It has an effect on female judges.
I would not feel uncomfortable wearing a pink oxford to court with a grey or navy suit.
In my short time working for/soon-to-be-in the legal profession I have seen seersucker in court so pink hardly seems striking. Senior partner/relative wears "pink icing" color pink polos to the office and to real estate closings regularly in the summer.
As for a pink sweater I have a crewneck I bought last fall and feel fine wearing it. Have worn it to the office without comment.
Pink socks are fun too.
