If you only had one hat to raise to the guy what would it be?
I raise a tweed bucket.
But I raise it with respect.
You?
j.
I shall doff my Edward Bates -Sandown cap , in a jolly and excitable manner.
If it wouldn't be too inappropriate, I would like to congratulate myself on 3026 posts. As one Inspired by Grayson, and comrade of Vaclav in my travels through this minefield of high-stakes clothing forums, I feel that it is important to acknowledge my influences. If anyone ever hears from Terry Lean again, I hope you will pass on my salutations. Thanks to you all.
Since without a, hat may I take off my, right foot Church captoe and , with it smash, a Corona bottle in, celebration?
With my porkpie! With style

Twitching navy wool flat cap, humbly
Being largely hatless, I shall have to tug my forelock.
I raise my Inspector Gadget hat to Voltaire's Bastard.
Horace is the shit. Terry Lean is a fucking nobody who has nothing better to do than jack off and spend his days on clothing forums.
now come on chaps - which one of you is letting their 7 year old near their computer?
I went 'over there' (tradland) and have been reading old posts by Horace. I am impressed. Thank you for all your contributions there as well as here. Hope you have a happy new year with lots of champaigne.
I would rise a , patchwork madras &, tweed comb-bow hat to salute, the badest Trad mofo , since Shaft. For all those sackers in, need of an education, it's Brother H. aka Rev. Hortensia, which I speak.
Thanks chums, I try to provide these suckers with an education but like Socrates, they want me to imbibe the Hemlock. They can't handle the truth.
And this I bump because my name is too much 'out there' just now.
Horace is the poster who inspires what I do on the Net., even if what I do is not what Horace would do himself.
American Traditional style is what Horace posts about in his well considered way. He always has. It's his subject.
I merely rant, froth & wave my Grosgrain trimmed Madras flag like a nutter.
Traditional American style, Classic American style, TNSIL - But not what "Trad" has become.
Inspired by Horace I'd like to start again. Let "Trad" carry on. We like Traditional American style.
- James.
well, It's the internet. he said a couple of unpleasant things about me. the hell with him.
Hat staying firmly on then, eh Tom?
Quakers never raise their hats do they? Or is that just in the past now? I think the idea was that all men and women are created equal and so the only person (is he a person?) to show defference to is God.
... I know that Jesus was a person once, but I'm not sure that God can be considered to be one. The Holy Ghost certainly isn't a person... And yet to call God a 'thing' seems rude...
I need to talk to AlanC.
