P.S.: It could also be the button placement on the Mercer, which seems a little wider to me.
Brooks did offer the supima pull-over but, despite the immense popularity of the Brooks button down on campus back then, I don't recall ever seeing one worn. Pullover shirts (especially in casual cloths like madras) were in vogue at that time. Brooks had antiquarian even eccentric items at that ime that nobody else carried (silk striped belts with tan leather tabs, tan harness leather o-ring belts and alligator belts with a covered buckle; the tan bridle breast pocket wallet (probably made by Swaine, who still carries them); button front boxer shorts; OTC cable socks; herringbone double breasted overcoats with fur collars from the University Shop, etc). There was no third button in back of the collar. This from 1963 on.

Thanks.
Steven,
what about purchasing from Swaine itself, rather than Classic Luggage?
Thanks,
Horace
