I guess Manton hangs out at shitty bars.
I'm curious as to how these people come up with "nasty FNB style discussion". We are a hell of a lot more civil to each other here then those clowns are.
The old "inane post of the day" thread (part 1) was a classic!
Yes, most posters don't have much to offer at all, they just take up bandwidth because they have no fresh and original thoughts. Most don't even know hardly anything footwear related, and maybe about clothes too. What l do know is that very few have natural style....just a bunch of tryhard nubs playing dress-ups but making themselves look silly.
I am somewhat proud, and warmed by the fact that some see as as a notorious lot. Granted, I'm a relative newcomer, but I've been around long enough to appreciate our camaraderie.
StyleForum = Humor section of FNB forum.
God has collected a group of characters to produce voluminous material for the sole purpose of delectation by the few and the lucky at FNB.
I am too lazy to curate the trove but am eternally grateful to those who do.
It seems to me ol' Mantovani is permanently locked in 2006. I haven't seen his name come up here in ages. And this is even more true of Kabbaz. I believe he pulled out of AAAC a long time ago. Is he a player in any menswear forum these days?I was never aware of any special odium toward Foo here or elsewhere. His sartorial philosophies and mine may diverge, but he has always seemed like a pleasant enough guy.
Of all the descriptors for Manton, pleasant is not one that readily springs to mind. Pedantic and insecure probably leading the pack, though boring and unstylish are not far off the pace.
Haha!
Foo has been getting ripped here regularly in the 5 years I've been polluting the bandwidth. Manton is intrinsically unamusing. Foo at least provides comic relief at times, those times being when he posts selfies.
At the Hat Lounge, a poster who has just bought two hats, real fucking fedoras, mind you, and not the "cheapo linen hats" worn by the guys with the "fake persona", wonders what clothes to wear:

Trad favorite Filson offering a handy oyster knife for $500:

Filson also offering new bags made from ill-fitting Harris tweed sport jackets found on Ebay:

Andy poster has a teddy bear that he dresses up to help with some "personal challenges that are overwhelming my personal life" (the poster's, not the bear's):

I find that teddy bear thing incredibly odd but I suppose it's a lot better than him going out and murdering prostitutes..
