*Update, I showed the shirt to a friend who knows his beans about vintage BB and he seems to think this shirt was produced in the Mid 1950's, which explains why there are no care instructions or country of origin tags.
Better yet, if it has the characteristics I just noted, would most likely be from the late 40's or early 50's.
Looks like 1960's Brooks to me.

Damn, YSR, that's a nice shirt. I'd love to take it off your hands but I don't think I could afford to make an offer for what it's worth. Great score!

I picked this Grail of Grails up off eBay this week, an apparently NOS grey herringbone sack with all the details (except for patch pockets, which doesn't impact on the overall look). It's something else, but is slightly too big for me (I'm generally a 38R, this is more of a 40R, with 18" shoulders). Would consider a swap with a London/UK-based member for a similar grey herringbone in my size, of comparable quality.
Time for a bit of a clearout.......I'm selling a Spirit of Shetland crewneck in salmon pink. It's the same colour and Jamiesons wool as the Leith ones, but a slightly different style - slightly wider neck opening, and no saddle shoulder.
As they make them to order, it has no size, but fits me perfectly, and I'm 5'8" and weigh about 10 and a half stone (150-ish pounds).
It measures 20 1/2 inches across the chest, 26" length, and 24" sleeve, from shoulder seam to end of cuff.Excellent condition - only worn a few times!
£50 + £5 post in UK, about £15 to USA.
