The good deed of the day thread.

to off set my sometimes less than benevolent characteristics- I try each day to undertake at least one good deed.

thus far today-when the old dear in front of me at the post office had insufficient funds( the pensions we pay our old people is scandalously inadequate) to pay for a parcel to be posted to her grandson currently serving in Iraq- I payed for the postage.

It gave me a lovely warm feeling inside.

Whats been your good deed for the day?

Re: The good deed of the day thread.

Isn`t uncle Tom a description for a black man who is percieved to have betrayed his own race and colour.

Frank Bruno - The british heavyweight boxer was accused of this if I recall.

I was in lead chair tonight, played Tommy Dorsey trombone ballads with the big band for old people at our rehearsal at the community center.  It's a pity music is not as sentimental now.

I have created love and peace in the world by being the catalyst that allowed Tom Bell-Drier from AAAC to meet with my very own Uncle Jack.

and appart from that I took My wife a nice warm  lemsip  to her sick bed- Poor old Mrs.Monkey has a touch of cold today and isn`t feeling too good.

Re: The good deed of the day thread.

I didn`t undertake any good deeds yesterday- so in an attempt to redeem myself and- cultivate an image of a usefull and industrious member of society.

I have undertaken some interweb research on behalf of a certain Moderator at AAAC.

Re: The good deed of the day thread.

There are a couple of great shops in Westminster with names like Whip and Whipple or something. I used to live round the corner from them.

Here's one:

Fantastic places to browse in on a rainy day.
