Re: summer hats?

I'll have to sort out out some kind of hat storage before anything new comes in. Got enough grief about that fez and the Russian ambassador hat.

Re: summer hats?

They're usually pretty good with their sizing charts and they should be hat specific.

Re: summer hats?

Mine arrived yesterday Woof, and it's too big.  Like you I'm not keen on the brim, so its going back.

Re: summer hats?

Oh my. Yes I think you may be right about the brim, it should be slouchier.

For it to look good its gotta feel good. If it feels to small it won't look good. If you get one that fits you'll carry that off Woof...no danger.

Re: summer hats?

Why exactly is the brim entirely upturned?

Re: summer hats?

Odd, I've had brims that felt a bit too much like stiff carbdoard but nothing worse.  A few on my combo-alpha size hats are on the large side, but that's preferable to a drop too small for me.

Re: summer hats?

I got a nice Irish linen flat cap in cream last year. Okay for the short walk to work in the heat, but as others have pointed out, no ear coverage for longer stays in the sun -- for that you need the Panama or bucket
