Leather gloves

Currently 3 pair (not counting motorcycle gloves):

Black Italian unlined -- not really sure why I bothered to get these, since I can wear them, oh maybe 2 months out of the year at best (October and April)

Black w/ brown trim Italian wool-lined -- nice enough, but not much use in the bitter winter months. After all, what do the Italians know of Canadian winters?

Black made-in-China with nasty nylon faux wool fuzz lining -- strictly for deepest, darkest December through February. Anybody know where I can get something equally warm without the unnatural fibres?

Re: Leather gloves

My father swears by pittards gloves.

personally I find I have little use for dress gloves - thats what Jacket pockets are for- why do you think barbour put moleskin lined pockets in their wax coats.

that said I also have little reason now adays to dress up so this may well influence my opinion.

I do have some fingerless wool gloves that are Ideal for shooting but other than that - non.

Actually I tell a lie my farm quad- has mittens of sorts- permanently attatched to the handlebar grips- handy for going over the moors in foul weather.

Re: Leather gloves

My experiences so far:  a few pairs of gloves lost.  Other than that, some Dents, Allwyn (sp?) and Chester Jeffries.  The last two makers did special orders for me.  Oh yes, also an old pair of Gates or Gites gloves too.  An American firm.

Also La Crasia. Despite the vaguely fetishistic website, they can do more reasonable things:

Re: Leather gloves

I have a couple pair of Dents gloves which are well made. They have a refined look.
