I've been wanting a popover for quite a bit now, so I'm still chuffed. They are cheeky little buggers with that "for town and country " on the label though haha. Oh well, thanks for the info gentlemen, $15 for a beater popover is still nothing that I'm going to kick myself too hard about (the 45s on the other hand...).
I have 2 of the first Gant popovers when they relaunched them and they are 2 of my favorite shirts, it's only the monkey arms that stops them being perfect.
Mine have the mock union stamp, I hope you enjoy wearing yours as much as I do YSR.

English Squire is Made in the USA btw. The canvas is a pure cotton twill; no poly-blend.
Ah shoot.... And just when I thought I was content with the handful of various hued light jackets in my closet you come along and post that lovely green. That's why this place is dangerous.
Haha, I know what you mean... it surprised me last night on one of my routine insomnia induced eBay grazes. I probably could've shaved another sawbuck off the offer but I'm pretty happy with it... Am I wrong about the measurements though? They seem like a pretty solid "M" (38-40) fit, no? I might need to shorten the sleeves an inch, which shouldn't be too difficult; just raise the cuffs, presumably. 45 chest = 22.5" laid flat which is standard for a full cut harrington/jacket and not any bigger than my Drizzler. Length falls on the short side but that's just the cut of the jacket. I hope it works.
Yeah that jackets a beaut
The old school harringtons were worn pretty short in the body compared to more modern ones weren't they
^ Made sense as people tended to wear proper waisted trousers and tucked their damn shirts in.
Mighty high on the WIIGH!! scale.
Again I've been searching for a similar drizzler or Barracuta in same colour?
We'll see if it fits... one of you might get lucky!
I'm very excited to see them fitted out with dark lenses... they're shipping from Italy. The seller has a few deadstock frames in size 48 which I'm hoping is slightly smaller than contempo sized 48 as I'm closer to a 44 frame in sunglasses, but the lens' size seem to measure up considerably smaller than my modern Tart FDR's. I really dig the space age geometric lines... I'd still like to own a pair of black-fade Freeways or Sidewinders but these are way hipper than Clubmasters in my opinion. There's something very architectural about them. Speaking of which, does anyone know for sure if Saarinen wore Ronsirs?
Those are severe, man. Real cool. They'll make good shades I think.

Haha the first thing that's happening when they turn up is the linings coming out!
