The original (Now Deleted) "Site Blocked !!!" thread was blocked before it was deleted.
Lord knows what terrorist propaganda it contained...
Thus ruled Manchester Town Hall.
???????????????????????
The "Ivy Shop Wardrobe 1987" thread still remains blocked in provincial municipal town halls and libraries...
Why ?
Seeing that so many contributors to Talk Ivy are provincials themselves, I really don't see why their words should be judged unfit for their neighbourhoods and/or origins.
Most publicly accessible internet computers, such as those found in libraries, have software that filters out 'innapropriate content' to stop people looking at dodgy websites. The effect seems to be random in nature and often quite innocuous material is blocked for no apparent reason. It's certainly nothing to do with and beyond the control of the moderators on this site.
The word riveting barely does justice.
I literally can't wait for part 3.
Anything to avoid work - I asked an official for an explanation: The blocking is not random at all but very specifically targeted to their list of no-nos. "Hate Speech" is a lovely catch-all category which results in the majority of blockings. Other obvious categories are all the usual you might expect -
Gotta stop the hating !
