Had a good chat with Lloyd this afternoon and was afforded a sneak preview of their new ivy clothing project.

Still under wraps, but trust me the stuff is good.

Get this man on the payroll pronto!

They have always been an untapped source for me as they dont seem to cater for the XL ivyist.
As they are relatively local i will be watching this one closely.

I wonder what happened with the Italian/Canadian project two members of this place were going to start ?

Here is some more info on the project:
We are making sport jackets with full ivy details. Wool herringbone, no darts, natural shoulder, hook vent, 2-on-the cuff, 1/2 lining in foulard material etc. Made in the UK.
We have had a couple of samples made up and should have our first batch for sale at the end of June.
We are having them made up in small quantities, so they will be very limited. The price will be very competitive but will vary depending on materials.
We took the pattern from an original 1960's 3-patch sack jacket. Our initial sizes will be 38-46, but we will look to producing larger sizes if there is a demand.
If we are successful in this endeavour we will expand into making other ivy items in small numbers.

We have made a conscious effort to steer away from the heavier tweeds, as jackets in these materials have survived well from the 60's.
We have chosen materials of soft lighter weight that drape well and give a versatile seasonal range.
If all goes well our future plans include summer-weight jackets and then possibly trousers to match some of the jackets.

A lighter weight herringbone does sound pretty tempting, I must say.
