Request for advice regarding Wang washable and sleeve surgery

My disco nights have awakened to destruction by perspiration. Thus my decision to replace my sweat damaged N&L jackets by washable jackets.

My plan is to buy a 38R Kent Wang seersucker jacket. Does anyone have experience with this jacket?

I must get alterations: shorten jacket sleeves to 38S or what fits a 31" shirt sleeve, and cut buttonholes for the four buttons on each sleeve. Since Mr Wang ascertained the jacket shrinks, I must tell the alteration tailor how much.

If possible, I shall replace the buttons with either silver antique or gold St George versus Dragon.

Any advice about alteration and washable aspect appreciated.

Maybe wash the jacket before taking it to the tailor. If it were me I'd wash it twice.

Not that I'd buy a wash n wear jacket that was going to shrink in the first place, let alone buy it online without trying it on. Sounds like a proper pot luck affair shape and fit wise. Would I be wrong to presume it'll shrink across the shoulders? I fear it'll end in tears Jr.
