The Ivy House part 2

Alton.

Very good. Brew dog "This is lager" £1.49 a pint - managers special.

Right next to The George. It will surely put them out of business over time.

Never have a breakfast in Alton Station, slow service, poor food. Much better to eat in Poppins in the High Street.

The old charabancs were in full swing on Saturday, taking people to remote country pubs. Top day.

What charabancs were there? The link only shows Bristol REs, which are good enough in my book. Apparently they're running Real Ale Specials on the Watercress Line too.

"Charabancs" should not be taken literally.

Real ale trains run regularly. We met friends from the real ale trains at the end of the evening. They will be "on the buses" with us next year.
