The Blazer Suit

Thinking it might be chic in its own way.  Does anybody have positive thoughts on this hybrid?  Or negative?

Italians wear blue blazers with black buttons, which I suppose can be paired with blue trousers to look like a suit, at least to some, but a blazer with gold or silver buttons combined with blue trousers sounds cheesy to me.

If by blazer suit you include a blazer with very dark charc. grey trou, then I like it.  I don't see it as a suit.
