Jack, where do you get your OCBDs from? Any recommendations?
Silk knit ties. Bought an orange one at Brooks yesterday. That brings me up to around 10 or so. I also have a thing for buying multiple pairs of the same shoes in the event they don't hang around (and, most likely, they won't). That's why I have three pair of USA Weejuns. Last week at a local store I bought two pair of New Old Stock Sebago Dockside boat shoes (USA made, of course) and their last three pair of NOS Sebago Cayman I's.
I need help, but don't want it.

I have a good example of my junkiedom.
On Saturday, I decided to buy a point-and-shoot digital camera. With all the various models on the market, I was determined to have a Leica. I never even comparison shopped.
The question was where to buy this thing.
Enticed by the prospect of getting 10% of the purchase price added to my point card, I went to the local electronics mega-store and stood imperiously in front of the neglected Leica display waiting for some dutiful salesperson to see to my needs. There I stood for ten or fifteen minutes amid the pushing and shoving hoi polloi with nary a glance from any of the slovenly sales geeks.
I came to my senses and stormed out. While it may be the humblest offering from the company, It was my first (and definitely not last) Leica and I was determined to savor the experience of buying it.
Fortunately, I knew where to turn.
I took a half-hour train ride across town to the legendary Shinjuku Isetan Men's store and ascended to the Leica boutique on the 8th floor. There, with the complete attention of the entire sales staff, I approached an impeccably dressed man puttering behind the sales desk (yes, a desk where you sit down for a personal consultation) and told him I wanted to buy the C-Lux 2 with the strap and case. Meanwhile, I played with the M7, and the salesman and I "shared a moment" over the silence of its shutter.
Here was the shopping experience I'd been craving! The only premium was the hour round trip.
What was I going to do? I'm a junkie!
I get obsessed with a particular type of garment and that's all I look out for, for a while til the next obsession.
Once the obsession kicks in I venture into stores I normally don't go in regularly, just to see if there's anything inside that will fill my habit.
