It's not though...when people talk of an ideology we are already living one for the minority of super rich....the distance between where we were by the 60s from the Victorian era was via political change..now we dip back into levels of poverty not seen for 100 years of course political change will run a course again..thats life mate..not what you're describing.. you can speak in contempt of people like yuca but ultimately its that view that will be the undoing of people that share it in the uk...politics is about interests..and if enough people are interested a change is inevitable

Re: Armani and the politics of men's suits...

The war and game universe analogy is a pretty piss poor excuse for excusing things...we actually live in a universe of balance and correction.  Where a shift one way will ultimately lead to a shift in the other direction..if not we have collapse of that system and a new one replaces it  That's the hard reality of life.We are responsible in maintaining balance in order to achieve our survival

You know, I think Kingy has a point. That Jock bird who's going into the house of lords. The one who has made a knicker empire, just can't remember  her name, cracking tits, I remember that. Anyway multi she is, all her production is in China. She came from nowt, really poor part of Glasgow. Thing is; How can someone who'll take factory work away for the working classes, who came from that background take a seat in the Lords? Just wrong.

I would though.

I imagine the main credential to lead would be having the support in order to do so.

Re: Armani and the politics of men's suits...

The pap coming out of the mouths of the likes of Burnham and Cooper is only slightly to the left of the government, the most extreme right wing administration for decades, all they're really proposing is the status quo with slightly more tax on the rich and slightly more given out to the poor. An insipid view like that is not going to turn anyone's head away from the constantly reinforced message that because of global conditions neo liberal economics and unfettered capitalism are the only future.

Corbyn, on the other hand, might just have something. He's certainly got the establishment worried i.e the sinister triumvirate of politicians (of all colours), media and bankers that run everything for their mutual benefit, a sure indicator is the orchestrated attacks on him by the Murdoch controlled media who are doing their best to destroy and discredit him like they did with Milliband when it looked as though he might win the last election.

Corbyn may not be PM material but he may be the right person to present an alternative view and start the Labour Party back along the route to becoming an effective opposition. All they're doing at the moment is lending the Tories tacit support and encouragement in their mission to decimate workers rights and completely dismantle the public sector.

He also appears to be wearing a G4 rather than a G9 which may be cause for encouragement.
