Re: Dear Harris...

Uncle Jack- when a calling out was done at my school- all fighting was to be conducted on the top Rugby pitch -starting from the halfway line- Marquis of Queensbury rules - were called for - but rarely adherred to - the only breach of conduct that was frowned upon was-hair pulling and use of the feet- headbutting was greatly admired.

a circle would form around the combatants and this would meander as the need arose- it was generally accepted that if one punched -wrestled or pushed your opponent -to the try line -you were declared the winner.

submission was not an acceptable way to conclude the fight - and the surenderer was treated to a heavy dose of Coventry by the entire school.

masters were aware of such carrying on- but generally turned a blind eye- unless the combatants were seriously mismatched.

The fight was generally not undertaken on the same day as the challenge - but the day after the challenge was laid down - partly I assume to have the largest crowd of braying schoolboys necessary.

Each combatant appointed a second-if nothing else to hold the fighters - blazer-jumper and tie and if it was a particually vicious fight - sometimes to escort the loser to matron and create some convoluted and fantastic reason why -one would be presenting a school friend for treatment in such condition.

Do you require a second Uncle- it would be an honour to hold your blazer ( 3 roll 2 perhaps?)

Re: Dear Harris...

Hello, my name is Harris and I'm a compulsive liar.  I admit to mass lying on internet clothing fora.  I've never owned a suit and I can barely tie a tie.  All my shoes have rubber soles and I like jeans and untucked striped shirts the best.  I shall continue to post as I am a compulsive.  Thank you and please try to help.

Re: Dear Harris...

Don't we need to end all this?

I say that Harris is full of crap & I say it to his face.

I welcome his response.

I'm very happy if he can bloody my abnormally large nose...

Is he going to be a Gentleman over this or skulk like a wet-legged little internet pee-pants (No offence - These terms mean something else in England... Maybe... )

????

Re: Dear Harris...

I', dissappointed he hasn't responded.  Maybe he's following the rules as explained by Cheeky.  I know as a yank this is all new to me and didn't know about this until just now.  Maybe Harris is waiting until tomorrow to respond.  I say give him a chance.  Give peace a chance.

I'm going for the Internet Peace Prize.

Re: Dear Harris...

He's just posted again on Shetlands...

If he thinks he's answering me then he isn't...

I actually buy this stuff, Harris - You can't bullshit me.

Press aren't selling seamless. Press's sleeves have seams.

If Andover are currently selling seamless (and making a huge loss) - Prove it.

You do not have Andover Seamless Saddle Shouldered Shetlands from' back in the day'. If you have... PROVE IT.

I want the year &  both (X2) label details.

You are full of shit... I love you, but you are full of shit.

Don't try to go head to head with me, boy.

Remember who you're dealing with!

wink  Lil' old Jakey...

... Once and for all - Turn your sweaters inside out & look. That's how you check for seams!!!

Why is that beyond you?

http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74717     Post 7.

... Shets. can indeed be seamless in all the ways he talks about... I just want proof that his are... He does have a track record as a big fat internet liar after all...

Re: Dear Harris...

Does Harris post at FNB under a pseudonym?  Or is this a forum-to-forum kind of duel?

TB

PS:  Jack, if you have done anything for little old Bone, you have made me an ardent internet watcher.  The subtleties of trolling and code words and the back-and-forth between two, often three and sometimes four different forums is fascinating.  I hope someone is going to write about all this someday.

How do the Andylanders find time to wear all the clothing they own?
How many sweaters can one man actually wear, in a lifetime?

Re: Dear Harris...

Thing is...  if Harris won't play ball then I don't really have a thread here...

How can I goad him into responding?

We need to see his Shetlands...

Show us the Shets!
Show us the Shets!
Show us the Shets!
Show us the Shets!

etc.
