intresting article- keys into many of my own thoughts- but says it in a far more elequent manner than -I could hope to achieve.
Intresting that on the one hand- they refer to it being an aspirational style.
Yet those of us who have grown up in the country with this type of thing - regard it as purely a practical style.
how can clothes that can be worn just as readily by a farmer - be aspirational?
country clothes are all about the practicallitys of life-warm-dry-comfortable.

Aside from her country clothes, I think the Queen's city clothing is also well-done. Though the colors may be garish to some, the coordinated handbags and shoes, I feel, does well for her; Hardy Amies did her pieces for many years.
