Black Gypsies
Doing a bit of reading up on the African origins of the Celtic people..
The term Gypsy has often been described to have come from a shortening of the noun Egyptians which I never really understood until now. So it appears your Celtic blood is very much north African unlike the Indo-european DNA, Celts are proto Europeans who derive from North Africa.. And didn't migrate via India unlike the rest of the European migrations

I saw a similar thing.. It appears they fed into Scotland from going up and around the Ireland..

I have read a bit about the pentatonic scales that are present in both West African and Celtic music...to be fair Pentatonics are used the world over..but there is a bit of scholarly work on it...also the languages cross at some point with the proto Europeans and North Africans

Mel Smith and Griff Rees Jones spring to mind. Mel was not a Celt as far as I am aware.

What people think of that lineage doesn't actually detract from the genetic markers. Which are clearly evident now..by relations of the Basques and Iberians...Irish genetics mainly comes from a separate branch to Indo Europeans..and that spilt is north west Africa
In fact the marker is prevalent in 90 percent of Irish men , 80 percent in the Welsh and 75 in Scottish..which is why Harpo is so god damn funky

I think you will find the Irish are mostly descended from Niall of the Nine Hostages.

There is genetic and linguistic evidence that proves that the Celts were Black or African people. An examination of the language spoke by the Basque has a Niger-Congo substratum. C.J.K. Cambell-Dunn has found a Niger-Congo substratum in Basque .(9)
Dr. Cambell-Dunn found that the Niger-Congo and Basque languages share personal pronouns, numerals and vocabulary items.
There is also genetic evidence linking the Basque and Niger-Congo speakers. Both groups share SRY10831.1, YAP, M2,M173(xR1a,R1b3), E3*-P2, E3b2-M81 . (10)This linguistic and genetic evidence supports the African origin of the Celts.
