Jon Green suits.
l'm a pretty ignorant bloke when it comes to bespoke clothing from O/S. An impossibility to travel abroad gives me no choice but to purchase clothing and shoes from home (Australia). The question i'm about to ask is soley a Q of interest, l have no intentions of travelling half way around the world to purchase a Jon Green suit.
l have become extremely interested in Jon Green suits since looking at samples of his work. He's suits look totally stunning....a total wet dream.....blow away stuff....can't stop thinking about the cut o9f his jackets. WOW. Does he only do bespoke only or does he do MTM and RTW as well? ls the tailoring all done inhouse? How good is this guy at tailoring suits?
Looking at the ACCC gathering photo's, Jon Green looks easily the best dressed guy there. He's suit looks incredible. Does he make his own suits?
Just interested that's all.
P.S: sorry about my negative posting about ACCC. Had afew issues to get off my chest that's all. ACCC is still a good board.

He only does bespoke/custom, but he himself is not a tailor and the work is sent out. He is a designer/stylist. I am somewhat surprised you love his suits so much, not because they are poor by any means, but because they are a more middle of the road, conservative cut.

I heard that Martin Greenfield in Brooklyn makes his suits and that he just does the measurements and fittings.

interesting, when Jon left giovanni he went to Sal. I was going to try him. I'm glad you warned me. Giovanni asked me to look at the place and most of what I saw was alteration work. Have you ever tried the crazy guy at Treguardo.

Marc, I tried him years ago. Ercole & his son are both very nice. I found his cut very southern italian and the work to be decent. Not in the caliber of some of the other names mentioned.

i don't mean to be dispariging when I say southern italian. The models did lack that je ne suis pas.Very reasonably priced though.

Marc, l would love to hear your opinions on my topic about John Cutler bespoke suits. l know you probably know nothing of John Cutler but l have provided info that l would like some comments on.
Cutler cuts the fabric and does the fittings but outsources his work to trouser and jacket makers.
Question = when making a bespoke suit, what is the most important part of the process? ls it the original cutting of the fabric or something else?
l'm a bespoke virginboy.

I should hope the models lack that "je ne suis pas" ("I am not"), allowing them to exist, although boringly, by your estimation. That is, unless your "je ne suis pas" is a faux pas betraying a charming je ne sais quoi regarding malapropisms.

Although few things in life are certain, these I can attest to: I'm not a "bud", or an old poster, or a dopplelganger.
As for my words, well what can I say. Just as "bespoke wishes and fabric dreams go wrong", attempts at linguistic savor faire in a public forum sometimes elicit an entertaining brew of reactions from the audience.
Amongst them, on my part, no small amount of admiration for the chap's courage to try it on and go out there to show it.

Read my byline- It means "take it easy, but take it" (literally, take it softly, but take it). Usually directed at other latins to mean enjoy yourself, but make sure you get it done, whether at pleasure or work. I guess it's a cultural thing, but maybe for the more excitable ones we might change it to "Take it, but take it easy"
