/\ said it before, Jessica Walter is the stuff of nightmare ... I always liked the black DJ's crazy bucket hat ... on him .....
can you imagine how great this movie would be if Clint had worn ocbds throughout?
Evelyn needed to work on her game:
Hi.
Get all your work done?
What do you want, Evelyn?
One Coke?
I'll tell you, tonight I'm really whipped.
What time is it?
Time for me to go home.
Go back to sleep.
Hey, I've got an idea.
What's that?
Some night this week, after the show...
...corned beef and potato salad, dill pickles, the whole bit.
My place. Deal?
I'll call you.
Lots of sack suited eye candy in John Ford's Last Hurrah; set in New England and starring our own Patrick.
Lilith (1964) with Warren Beatty, Peter Fonda, Jean Seberg, etc. is another ivy swathed feast with a moody & atmospheric Kenyon Hopkins jazz score.

Fonda's suit almost looks 2 sizes too big / long. Ultimate slouch Ivy.
Notice he does the two button fasten on a 3/2 thing.

Uhm, and Jean.
/\ Jean's a little too messed up in this one, even for me ......
Hahaha. I had it cued up to watch and Mrs. WM said "no" and assured me we watched it about 4 years ago. So I guess in her book, that means once is enough? I had only a vague recollection of seeing it and wasn't even sure that wasn't created from the stills Oliver posted.
Also, not a lot of men's clothing in the trailer, but could be a good one. Might be a little earlier for a lot of trad stuff since it's set in '48.
Todd Haynes - Carol
based on the Patricia Highsmith (of Ripley fame) novel

/\ I read this sad novel years ago, will watch this flick, Haynes is interesting, seen his Carpenters movie and Velvet Goldmine ... Highsmith was a master, she makes it look easy .....
