The Return of the Sloane Ranger

This looks interesting, if not from a sartorial perspective then from a socio-cultural one.

It must be galling to some people that relentless multiculturalisation has not finished off the Sloanies and their progeny!

I well remember the original.

Dreadful title though.

It's just the upper middle class diversifying and getting up to speed. Good show.

Re: The Return of the Sloane Ranger

That term Sloane Ranger has always really cheapened the look in my mind. I cant get the image of Lady Di and her buddies acting like LiLo and Paris Hilton.

Maybe I should get the book because I keep thinking of kids in bastardized Burberry outfits, not people dressed in nice tailored clothes. Vut the book cover suggests they are actually walking around in riding outfits?

It's just Peter having fun again. Looking at us all from under his eyebrows and draaaawling. Really he's a national treasure. He should be stuffed and mounted.

He certainly writes a lot, perhaps a topic too far?:
