Re: Armani and the politics of men's suits...

Turns out Corbyn comes from money, privately educated no less. And brought up in a 7 bedroom country house. Doesn't make him a bad person of course, I'm just a tad let down he's not from an estate and got on in life while remaining in touch with his roots. I always think of people from money who rant about being poor and at the bottom as being naive and patronising at the same time.

I mean, who the fuck would vote for Jim to be PM?

Actually, as this is a clothes forum, I am surprised at the number of Corbynistas here.

Ross Wilmot, not Russ. This is the mumpty all over, sticking his ore into right on groups. No grounding of understanding working class issues or the working class at all...

Still, what can you say about a council that puts ads in the local rag stating that; Disabled people will be given preferential treatment as we are under represented in this department...when looking for plumbers?

You know, I'm kinda in line with the idea of left wing policy. I just don't like the idea of the upper middle class imposing their brand of it.

Corb is just another champagne socialist in everyman drag. As you and I know all too well, put him with a gang of hairy-arsed scaffolders having farting competitions and he would shit a brick at the uncouthness of it all. The very demographic he seeks to represent, is the very one he is totally alienated from. He represents London and fuck-all-else. He knows nothing of the reality of the provinces.

Re: Armani and the politics of men's suits...

I am always puzzled at the "nowhere to go but up" tale of woe. Does anyone really think they will be taken seriously with that nonsense? I get that it's mostly venting and all, but it is hard to have any sort of serious discourse with such stupid rhetoric. There are masses of humanity in this world that have to suck on dirt patties to leach nutrients to survive and others who are watching their daughters systematically raped and sons summarily executed. You not getting a raise or buying a house are pretty minor fucking issues.

As someone told me today, Corbyn has completely captured the disgruntled and dissatisfied young middle class who have inherited wealth and read The Guardian vote. Seemingly quite an accomplishment, until you realise he is one of the same.

They're going to try for the kingdom, they'll be figuring demographic changes will suit them and usher in the revolution by ballot and the back door. It's whose behind Corbyn who are the players, he is too weak and undistinguished to have hatched this by himself. The real devil waits in the shadows and he knows the time is near.
